Ashley Road, Hampton

KRONEN frequently carries out on-street parking surveys for smaller-scale planning applications.

One example of this was a private residential development in Hampton in LB Richmond.

The development did not include off-street parking and therefore providing accurate and reliable on-street parking surveys was a key part of the application’s success.

Ashley Road parking surveys were undertaken in accordance with the “Lambeth Methodology” (‘Lambeth Council Parking Survey Guidance Note’ (Lambeth Council, 2012)) and local guidance ‘Richmond parking survey methodology’ (LB Richmond upon Thames, unpublished draft).

The development was granted consent and LB Richmond officer’s highlighted the importance of the survey work in their Officer’s Report:

“… the application includes a parking stress survey which shows that the free parking on Ashley Road is at worst 50% overnight. On that basis no objection is seen on transport grounds.”
