Mole Valley District Council approve a planning application for the conversion of a former care home to flats in Ashtead.
Up until recently the property had been used as a care home with 12 resident rooms, the “Alexander Lodge” care home.
KRONEN was instructed to assist with an application after an earlier planning application seeking alterations to the property to create 5 × flats (application “MO/2020/0345” for the “Change of use from residential care home (Use Class C2) development into 5 No.residential flats”) was refused in 2020.
KRONEN prepared a Transport Statement Technical Note and Parking Survey to address comments about traffic impact and parking provisions in the refusal.
The new proposal was again to create 5 × flats.
Mole Valley DC planning reference “MO/2022/0303” for “Conversion of existing detached dwelling into 5 No. self contained flats with associated car parking and provision of cycle park and bin area” at Alexander Lodge, 41 Skinners Lane, Ashtead, Surrey, KT21 2NN.
The application was approved at the MVDC November 2022 committee meeting.
