Success – Approved Application and Transport Statement in Sudbury, Brent

KRONEN had been appointed and retained to work with DB Planners and Don’t Move Extend for a residential development in the Sudbury area of Brent.

The site is currently a single dwelling with a long access.

KRONEN have assisted with a number of applications and appeals in the past 1 to 2 years

  • Application “18/1819” Demolition of existing dwellinghouse and erection of a new 3 storey building with a basement level to provide 7 self-contained residential units (4 x 2bed and 3 x 3bed) with associated car and cycle parking, bin stores, landscaping and fencing
  • Appeal “APP/T5150/W/18/3208944” as above
  • Application “18/3703” Demolition of existing dwellinghouse and erection of a new 3 storey building with a basement level to provide 6 self-contained residential units (6 x 3-bed) with associated car and cycle parking, bin stores, landscaping and fencing
  • Appeal “APP/T5150/W/19/3219873” as above
  • Application “19/1275” Demolition of the existing single dwelling and construction of a 3-
  • storey residential block comprising 7 self-contained units (6 x 2-bed and 1 x 3-bed) with associated car parking, soft and hard landscaping, cycle and waste storage
  • Application “19/2423” Demolition of the existing single dwellinghouse and erection of a 3-storey residential building comprising 7 self-contained units (6 x 2-bed and 1 x 3-bed) with associated car parking, soft and hard landscaping, cycle and waste storage

Application 19/2423 was approved earlier this month.

With regards to transport / highways the most contentious issue was providing safe and suitable access whilst retaining trees and hedges. The access was designed as a narrow single lane working arrangement with holding areas adjacent the public highway and passing places along the driveway length. The courtyard was designed using Autodesk AutoCAD Vehicle Tracking to allow for cars / LGVs / small HGVs to enter, turn and exit in forward gear.
