Last week Croydon Council planning committee approved a new residential development in the Coulsdon West Ward.
The application site was 10 Smitham Downs Road, Purley, CR8 4NA.
KRONEN assisted Lumiere Property from initial feasibility pre-app and full planning (Transport Statement) up to the application determination; RIBA Plan of Work Stages 1 to 3.
The application sought approval for an apartment building comprising 8 × apartments and 1 × bungalow dwelling to the rear of the site. The proposed schedule of accommodation was 3 × 1-bedroom apartments, 3 × 2-bedroom apartments, 2 × 3-bedroom apartments and 1 × 3-bedroom bungalow dwelling. The proposal included a proposed new vehicle access to serve 4 × off-street vehicle spaces.
Croydon Council’s planning application reference was “19/02313/FUL”.
The formal description was: “Demolition of existing dwelling and erection of two storey building with accommodation within the roof space as well an erection of a single storey bungalow located at the rear of the site to provide a total of nine units as well as revised vehicular access, associated parking, landscaping, internal refuse and cycle storage”.
The planning application was supported by KRONEN’s Transport Statement.
The Transport Statement report set out the existing site, the site’s accessibility using sustainable transport modes, the adjoining highway network, the proposals, the proposal’s parking and transport impact and integration with planning policy and guidance.
