Earlier this month Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council granted permission for a mixed use development in Tonbridge Town Centre.
The description for the development was:
“Development of the rear car park to form a 70 room hotel (Use Class C1); 10 residential units (Use Class C3); retention of the existing retail unit (Use Class A1); associated car parking, landscaping, refuse and cycle storage.”
The application site was 78C High Street, Tonbridge, Kent, TN9 1EE.
Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council’s planning application reference was “20/01122/FL”.
KRONEN were working for Jaspar (architect, designer and client).
KRONEN assisted with highways pre-app with Kent County Council and the full planning application was supported by KRONEN’s Transport Statement and Road Safety Audit Designer’s Response.
The main issues for the Transport Statement included justifying a restrained parking provision for the hotel, on-street hotel servicing by a new loading bay and a new car park access and layout.
All work was delivered on-time and within budget.
Contact KRONEN using either firstname.lastname@example.org or 020 8541 1139 if your Tonbridge project requires a Transport Statement.
