Transport Technical Notes

By the time some development proposals reach planning stage transport issues are minor in nature and / or well defined; this may be due to thorough and robust pre-application, the minor scale of proposals’ transport implications, application site planning history etc. etc.

In these instances short Transport Technical Notes may be appropriate.

Rather than empirical survey data gathering often a Transport Technical Note will be a matter of Development Plan policy / supplementary guidance / best practice / material consideration interpretation and justification of proposals within the decision makers’ planning framework.

Often Transport Technical Notes are brief in length but include complex and focused transport planning reasoning and justification.
