Alexander Osborn (Founder):
“I decided to set up KRONEN in 2013 following the green shoots of recovery of the post-2009 economic crisis.
The business was based on my extensive and very hands-on transport planning experience of supporting planning applications for private developers at another firm to Associate-level.
In my career I’d had the privilege of supporting all types of Use Class developments, sizes small to modest and large, in urban and rural centres, for a range of developers.
I brought this expertise to KRONEN and immediately delivered success to numerous satisfied developers.
In the past ten years the company’s workload and reputation has steadily grown and KRONEN is now a busy and successful practice securing over 100 projects / applications per year. All work is overseen by me using support staff when project workload requires.

Over his 20 year career Alexander has supported over a thousand planning applications working with acclaimed and award winning teams on nationally significant developments.
Alexander has a strong academic background in transport. In his final two years at Reading University he was able to steer his BSc Hons Geography degree to include transport, planning and public realm modules and dissertation topics. Later in his career he studied for a Postgraduate Diploma (PG Dip) in Transport Planning & Practice at the University of Surrey selecting modules relevant to development and planning and graduated with a merit grade.
Alexander’s depth of knowledge and experience have seen him gain fellow memberships to The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (FCIHT) and to The Institute of Highway Engineers (FIHE) and chartered membership to The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT).
