APPROVED TRAVEL PLAN CONDITIONS DISCHARGE APPLICATION IN SURREY

KRONEN recently prepared a Travel Plan in relation to an approved mixed-use development for a hotel, bar, restaurant and residential accommodation at Haslemere High Street.

The site was 37 to 41 High Street, Haslemere, GU27 2JY (in Waverley BC).

The Travel Plan was based on Surrey CC guidance and pro-forma template.

The Travel Plan has recently been accepted and the planning condition has been discharged.

The original application was “WA/2019/1525” for the “Erection of 2 dwellings; extensions and change of use of the rear building from hotel bedrooms and spa (Use Class C1) to 16 flats. Demolition of the link building; alterations to the main hotel building to provide a 12-bedroom hotel with restaurant and bar and a new access to the High Street; provision of ancillary parking and landscaping.”

The planning application approval decision notice included planning condition 13:

“Prior to the commencement of the development a Travel Plan Statement shall be submitted for the written approval of the Local Planning Authority in accordance with the sustainable development aims and objectives of the National Planning Policy Framework, Surrey County Council’s “Travel Plans Good Practice Guide”, and in general accordance with the ‘Heads of Travel Plan’ document.”

(The hotel, bar and restaurant is now The Georgian Coppa Club.)
