Success – Approved Application and Parking Survey, Kingston Road, Teddington

LB Richmond approve a planning application for a family dwelling on Kingston Road, Teddington.

The application was supported by Kronen’s on-street parking surveys carried out in accordance with the “Lambeth Methodology” (‘Lambeth Council Parking Survey Guidance Note‘ (Lambeth Council, 2012)).

The proposal was for a single family dwelling without off-street parking accordingly the potential for overspill parking and associated parking impact had to be assessed in a Parking Survey report

The on-street parking beat surveys on Kingston Road and surrounding streets recorded 87%  parking uptake / “parking stress” and the Parking Survey report provided robust transport planning justification of the proposals using National Planning Policy Framework.

The Parking Survey report surveys, findings and conclusions were accepted by local planning officers and the Officer’s Report states:

“The applicant has submitted a parking survey which satisfactorily indicates that there is sufficient available on-street parking capacity to accommodate the development’s under the provision of two on-street parking spaces.”

LB Richmond’s planning reference was 17/4002.
