Earlier this month Croydon Council approved a new residential development in Purley.
The application site was 21 Box Ridge Avenue, Purley, CR8 3AS.
The application sought approval for an apartment building comprising 9 × apartments. The proposed schedule of accommodation was 1 × 1-bedroom apartment, 7 × 2-bedroom apartments and 1 × 3-bedroom apartment. The proposal included a proposed new vehicle access to serve 5 × off-street vehicle spaces.
Croydon Council’s planning application reference was “19/02531/FUL”.
The formal description was: “Demolition of existing dwelling. Erection of a three storey building comprising of 1x one bedroom, 7x 2 bedroom and 1x three bedroom flats. Provision of associated parking, amenity space, cycle and refuse stores”.
We were working alongside OB Architecture (architects and agents).
The planning application was supported by KRONEN’s Transport Statement.
The Transport Statement report set out the existing site, the site’s accessibility using sustainable transport modes, the adjoining highway network, the proposals, the proposal’s parking and transport impact and integration with planning policy and guidance.
Grant Freeman, Associate at OB Architecture, has kindly provided the following testimonial for our work on the application:
“We approached Alex following his success in securing a reduced on-site parking provision on an adjacent site. The site presented a mix of constraints including steep access, cramped manoeuvring space and the potential of only providing 60% on-site parking where the Local Authority were keen to secure 100% provision. Alex was thorough in his surveying and reporting which alongside tracking diagrams convinced the Local Authority the scheme was feasible. Great professionalism and drive from the beginning, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Alex and I look forward to working with him in the future”.
